LOCAL TRAINS OF MUMBAI

Have you ever been to Mumbai? Have you ever travelled by train? Here is an experience of travelling in a Mumbai local. There is a rush and push every where. As we wait for the train at the station platfrom the surrounding is quite calm and steady. The moment we see the train is nearing the platfrom the crowd gathers together. As the train stops at the platfrom the passengers are a hurry to get on the train and get down. The train stops for a few seconds. Within this time the passengers have to get down or climb up. There is such a confusion that people either fall down there slippers fall down half climb up the train and half on the platfrom. It is funny to see and at the same time is scarry to see also. I have to travel by train when I go to my mother's place with my two children. The moment is always tense for me because of the heavy rush. The moment we enter the train is full and jampacked and I get annoyed when I see people selling things push and make way through us. When they do this again there is pushing every where. People sometimes get irritated and start a fight. Trains are so full that people hang out of the train and go. As Mumbai is populated there is no time was anyone to wait for the next train. But if a train inbetween is cancelled or delayed then it is hell. People who come from other states dare to go on the train as they can't climb or get down as fast as many of us do. To get down in the crowd is easy. Just stand near the entrance and people push you down and your strainght on the platform. But my advice is that we should always travel safely.Happy travelling.
